Duff House Royal Golf Club designed by Dr Alister MacKenzie is one of the outstanding courses in the
North of Scotland. Hosts of the 2021 Scottish Senior Men’s Open Championship. The famous River
Deveron, the challenge to many an angler, borders five holes and flows into the sea through the
seven-span Banff Bridge and forms the backdrop to the closing holes. Honorary member Ewen
Murray of Sky Sports can often be found on the banks if not on the course.

The Jim Murray Salmon fly was firstly commissioned by actor and well-known angler Robson Green
for his good friend and fellow actor Jim Murray. Jim and Robson star in the ITV show Robson and
Jim’s Fly-fishing adventures. Jim has been a mainstay in TV and film both sides of the Atlantic for
over fifteen years and can be seen in Netflix upcoming series The Crown. He also co-runs the Murray
Parish Trust which recently raised £5mil for a new paediatric ED for the South of England. It is
salmon fishing, and the wild Atlantic salmon, that he is most passionate about. Jim is a nailed-on
devotee not only to its conservation, but also a proud advocate of the mental health benefits the
sport can offer the young and old alike.

rods at Mountblairy which includes a brown wing killer fly tied on an antique hook.
Follow in the footsteps of the celebrated Mrs ‘Tiny’ Morison and fish the very beat where her record
salmon was caught on the exact same day (21st & 22nd October 2022 or 2023 by arrangement). The
winning bidder will also receive an authentic brown wing killer fly which was used to catch the huge
salmon. The fly has been tied on an antique hook by Stuart Foxall one of the UK’s leading fly-tying
experts

Royal Aberdeen Golf Club in Aberdeen, Scotland, was founded in 1780 as the Society of Golfers at
Aberdeen and became the Aberdeen Golf Club in 1815. Until 1888 members played on the Queen’s
Links close to the city before moving across the river Don to the links at Balgownie. The Course was
originally designed by the Simpson Brothers, Archie, and Robert of Carnoustie and later re-bunkered
and lengthened by James Braid to ensure our classic links kept pace with the modern game. The
