Your role:
The Scottish Invasive Species Initiative (SISI) is an exciting four year HLF and SNH funded project in northern Scotland which aims to encourage communities to tackle invasive non-native species such as Japanese knotweed, giant hogweed and American mink. We are looking for a dynamic professional to join our small team as a Project Officer. The Project Officer will act as the point of contact for the project within the area. The Project Officer will work with the Project Manager to deliver the project throughout its 4 year lifespan and contribute to ensuring that its outputs and outcomes are maintained after the project finishes. The Project Officer will be responsible for all or specified combinations of the following aspects of the project: communications, education and outreach, volunteer recruitment and management, biosecurity, INNS control and restoration trials.
